Patken - deposit

We stupidly left a deposit during our visit to Patken to save the date and photographer (Steve) in case we decided to go with them. They said the deposit was fully refundable if we sent something in writing stating that we did not wish to proceed with Patken. Well, I sent a letter via certified mail (so they couldn`t say they never received it) which they received Feb. 9. My question is how long does it take for them to refund the deposit? I tried calling them to ask, but no one answers. Left messages and no one is returning my calls! Any info would be appreciated. THANKS!

If the contract you signed to save the date states that the deposit is fully refundable without conditions, you should receive it the depoist back I would say in 4-6 weeks (everything takes 4-6 weeks - don't know why:).

I would call them and confirm that your refund is on the way. Ask them how long it will it will take. Since its a small business, they should be able to refund your money within a few days but its all up to them.

Hi again. You will get your money back, don't worry. Patken is very reputable. I am using them, as well as using Steve, who I hear is GREAT! Why did you change your mind. I have heard such wonderful things about Patken, more wonderful things about Steve? But in any case, don't worry they told me the same thing that if we left a deposit and changed our mind, they will refund it. That never happened, although after a few weeks we decided not to go with the video package, and no problem they just cancelled it. They did not have to give me a refund because I still kept the photo. Keep me posted. I don't know why know one answers the phone. What office are you calling?

It`s not that we disliked Patken at all, it`s just that we decided to go with Michael O`Neill, they happened to impress my FH a little more. I`ve been trying to call the Lindenhurst location cause that`s where we signed the contract. It was just making me antsy as we haven`t heard anything from them, and I haven`t been able to get in touch with them.

I just can't believe no one is answering the phone. I am going to try calling them now and see if someone is there. Do you know what your best bet would be. Call Steven directly in mineola. All is hopefully settled. My FH actually called to say that Doug called him and couldn't read the credit card number. He says it should take about 2-3 days. I'll let you know if he keeps his word. Thanks for all your help!

I left I deposit with them once then changed our date. It was't a problem getting the deposit back, I don't remember exactly how long it took, but not so long that I was worried. I'm sure you'll get it.
