I have an appointment with Patken in Lindenhust on Thursday. Do any of you happen to know if the place is close to the Lindenhurst train station? I am coming from Manhattan and there is NO WAY I am going to make my appointment by car thanks to rush hour traffic! Thanks!!

Just did a Google search for you. Patken is on Sunrise Hwy. and the train station is on Montauk Hwy.

Do you think it is a far trip by cab? I am having such a hard time making appointments with photographers! They can only meet me during the week and I work in Manhattan and FH in Jersey... We have two appointment tonight at 7:30 and 8:30.
To top it all off, FH has a 2 week long business trip next week so I really want to book a photographer before he leaves!

It shouldnt be too far of a cab ride. Def. not more than 10 minutes. Hope that helps!

Shouldn't be too far. Try Mapquest. It looks no more than 2 miles.

its less than a 5 minute cab ride and it should only cost you a few bucks. If you tell the cab driver when he drops you off to come back at a certain time he will. The cabs over there have always been really friendly when I have needed to get home from the RR station.

Try hopstop.com. I think it tells you exactly what trains to take and how far walking distance the trin is from your destination.

its not close to the train station but you can take a cab, it probably about a 10 minute ride.
