Hey...I am starting to look at photographers for the wedding. I went to Patkin yesterday and I liked their work and their package. However they are a bit more expensive then what I expected to pay. I really want a magazine style album, and they charge a lot extra for that. The lady there said that it would be better to book a package for less money and get a traditional album, and then negotiate the price with them later about the magazine style album...Has anyone else booked Patkin? What do you think about them if you have used them? Do you think I should get the more expensive package or the tradtitional album???

Re: Patkin Photographers
We are booked with them. I found them to be the most reasonably priced out of the photographers we met with. We didn't really want an album, but they don't do pkgs without albums so we just got a basic one with like 25pics.

We booked Patken as well. We are getting two photo albums with the option to add a third one for a cheaper price later.

Re: Patkin Photographers
We booked Patken cause we absolutely loved their work. We got a basic package with the traditional album, 30 photos I think. When we get our cd with the photos, we are going to make a more elaborate album on shutterfly.

i booked with Patken as well,, I booked the magazine style album,, because that is xactly what i wanted. Compared to other vendors they were pretty economical whenu compare them. Not to say that they are inexpensive.

Re: Patkin Photographers
We went with a basic package. Proofs in album. We are planning on making a more elaborate album on shutterfly for both sets of parents and 1 for us. They were well worth the price! Good luck

Patken is one of the cheaper photographers ive seen. You can always book for the cheaper package and then upgrade later if you chose to! Most places will allow you to upgrade but not downgrade.

Re: Patkin Photographers
I was thinking of making an album later on shutterfly, but the cd with all of the proofs on it, says Patkin on the bottom. They arent that bad, and they give you a lot but for the magazine style album they are charging like $1500...I dont know what to do...because the lady that I was talking to was like oh well give you a better deal when the time comes...and if you want to upgrade then well do it for you at a better price....but what happens when the time comes and I want to upgrade and they are like of well take $50 off...thats not doing me any good then!!
