Has anyone negotiated to pay cash...so they do not have to pay tax? Good idea? Bad idea?

well my RH doesnt accept credit cards so we paid in cash...some vendors do that though but I pay cash regardless and not just bc of the tax thing...i just do it bc i dont want to be in debt later...Id rather pay in cash so this way whatever i pay then thats it, no interest added to it, no credit cards that will add up and interest adding alot more to the price

I tried. I didnt know about that before I booked RH though. But we tried with the DJ and their prices are so low that they wouldnt do that. But with out photo/video vendor we are paying all in cash and no tax

Yes we did this. It works out great, especially when it's about 6,000 and you have to pay tax it can get pretty expensive!

They probally wont write that in the contract because they really are not allowed to do it.
