Paying for girls hair/makeup
I am sleeping over my MOH's house the night before the wedding for convienence. I hired one of the bridal assistants for my hair and makeup. Its $275 for my hair and makeup and to follow me to the first dance. Each of the girls would be $40 each for hair and makeup! There is NO WAY I can afford that! I would love to give that to them but $80 a girl (even $40 for just one thing) is way beyond my budget. I feel bad because I think the girls are all getting together at my MOH to sleep over too... Is it rude of me to tell the girls (the truth obviously) I would love to treat them but we cant afford it but if they pay they can have it done too... I dont want to seem rude or selfish. What do I say?

I wouldn't think that they assume you are paying for them-- at least they shouldn't--what you can do is tell them that the makeup/hair person is doing you and if anyone is interested it is $xx dollars-- My bridal party is getting their hair done with me but none are interested in the makeup-- and they knew from the beginning this was on their expense--its part of being in the wedding Laura

I agree. I've been in a couple of weddings and the bride just told us if we wanted to get our hair/makeup done we could and the cost would be $$$. So don't feel bad about that. Just be upfront with them. They are excited about being a part of your special day, not being treated to a makeover. Good Luck!

Paying for girls hair/makeup
I agree - just be upfront. My girls are getting their hair done but no makeup and know that they are paying for it themselves...

I definitely don't think you should feel obligated to pay for them to get their hair and makeup done. For my wedding and for all of the ones I have been in, getting hair and makeup done professionally was left optional. That way no one is required to spend the money. You should just tell them the truth.Welcome New Vendors
