Paying for wedding yourselves?

We are paying for everything ourselves too! crazy....i never thought I would be spending this much!!! But it will be worth it!

I gotta work 2 jobs to pay for it though! Cant Wait for Sept 2nd 2011!!!!

haha didn't mean to depress everyone with this post. i just needed some reassurance that there are others out there cause every single one of my engaged friends is getting a significant amount of help.

I am incredibly proud that we're paying for it. Not only does it mean we get to have everything WE want, but that we have a lot of motivation and determination to make it all happen.

I got through phases - sometimes I freak out that its never going to work and other times I'm OK. It's just so hard because you never know how much money you're really going to have by that time. I guess the worst case scenario is to take out a loan. oy!

Our total is going to be around 60 and I hope not a penny more! Just my RH and HM alone puts me at 40. My wonderful mother is paying for my dress and accessories and will be giving us quite the monetary gift to help us out but the majority is on us.
I bought a condo in early 2009 and FH moved in a couple months ago so we plan on staying until early 2012 and then will sell it (hopefully for a profit) and then put that towards a house!
By the way ladies...try to pay as much in cash as possible so that way you have no wedding debt after your honeymoon! It REALLY helps!
