If a vendor's balance is due the day of the event, do you pay them by check? Do you put a tip, if applicable, in the same envelope?

i had to pay my vendors cash for there day of balance and i didnt include the tip because i paid them as soon as i saw them and i didnt know if they seserved a tip yet. i didnt want to tip in advance

Cash only on the day of for my vendors. I will tip them after, too.

We've paid all of our vendors in advance even though the final payment was due until the day of. I don't like walking around w/ a large amount of cash on hand. Tips will be given out the day of.

I agree, hopefully the only cash i will have on me is the tips! its too much to worry about otherwise!

All of our vendors would only take cash or certified check. We either paid them in advance, or at the beginning of the reception, and then gave the tips at the end of the night. I wanted to be able to tip more (or less) based on the service they provided.
