I've noticed a few of you paying vendors in advance of your wedding day. Isn't anyone the least bit nervous about that? I'm using Variety for my DJ but I only gave them a $200 deposit, with the balance due in cash on my wedding day. Same thing with my RH. I paid them $1000 in October, I owe them $1000 in April, and the balance about a week before the wedding.
Any thoughts? I'm just wondering if I'm doing the right thing or I should be paying them in advance.

we're holding off as long as possible to pay the vendors. we're pay them according to the contract dates
same here. what if they go out of business? then you're SOL!
also, i'm collecting interest on my money in the bank - a whopping $12 per month, but it's still my $12!
