Payment for officants
I'm trying to come up with a preliminary budget that way I don't go into too much sticker shock when I actually start looking at things.
I went on my church's website and while it doesn't say exactly how much the 'donation' is for the church, it says the amount goes to the church, not the officiant, but if we want to give something as a thank you, that's up to us.
The priest that is doing my wedding, has become a friend over the past few years. Do I still have to give him money for preforming the ceremony? And what's appropriate?
