I was wondering if you can make payments at your Reception Hall by Credit card??? I am not allowed to make a payment by credit card!!! I thought I could and went to do so tongiht (((FLYER MILES)))- and was denied, by a diffrent banquet manager,,, mine was gone for the day.

I appreciate all the comments. I am going to try and talk to my Banquet manager at the RH any way. What could it hurt right?

as a PP stated if you pay for a service with a credit card, and then call up your cc company one day and say 'they didnt do what they said they would do' you WILL get all of your money back and some cc's (like American Express) won't even contact the vendor first, they give the money back and ask questions later.
eta: that is why some services wont accept cc. its easier to prove that your photographer didnt deliver bc you won't have the pictures but you can HATE your DJ even if he came and played for the time shown on your contract. . . .so its harder to prove if they performed the service properly

we are allowed to for all payments except the final one which must be a certified check...I am pretty sure it cannot be a personal check

But last payment must be cash!

we could have made the initial deposit by CC, but all the rest are cash or check.

We could only leave our deposit on CC. The rest of the payments have to be via check/ cash....

RH allowed us only to make 1st payment on credit card, the rest is bank checks!!!!
Same for me! They said he COULD use credit cards for the other payments, but he would be charged a 3.5% fee. No thanks!

Mine is cash or check---and the final payment is either cash or bank check
