IMO i really don't think the kids are really going to care...it seems like the adults are taking it harder than the children

..its the parents
or its parents who cannot afford the outrageous priced of fruits and vegetables in todays economy!!

Just wanted to add that I don't think fruits and vegetables are necessarily outrageously priced. (And certainly no more expensive than all the fancy treats on the market now-a-days...)

Haha - I grew up with Cookie Monster eating cookies! I don't like change when it comes to my childhood idols.

His obsession with the cookies is the basis of his appeal!

That, and his awful grammer! What's next, are they going to make him speak in full correct sentences because children's knowledge of the english language is going downhill.

Cookie Monster cannot say, 'May I please have a cookie?'

it's got to be 'Me want COOKIE'

Sorry, I'm starting down a slippery sloap here.

I'm quite content with my little blue fuzzy monster just the way he his, bad eating habits and all

i know what u mean

im constantly opening my mouth and inserting my foot cause i dont know what to say or what to call someone...whatever i choose its always wrong

you cant use words like 'gay' or 'retarded' to describe anything anymore even though noone calls a homosexual or mentally challenged person by anything else for fear of being stoned

its not the kids that are choosing the twinkie and ho-ho's ...its the parents
or its parents who cannot afford the outrageous priced of fruits and vegetables in todays economy!!

IM angry and I'm not gonna take it anymore!!!

1. Using words like retarded and gay to describe someone IS WRONG..IMO. It is a horrible habit that people have gotten into and i think it should STOP...NO PC squad should have to tell you that.
It is a DISGUSTING habit..just like many other words out there that are used to colorfully describe someone that people would be up in arms if it is mentions .... maybe a stoning is necessary!
2. YES it is the parents IMO. It isn't the kids going out and buying these high calorie treats...BUT to use the fact that it is high priced is silly. It is MORE expensive for these treats sometimes than healthy fruits and vegetables!

I saw this on the news the other day. They aren't totally taking cookies away from cookie monster. They added the song 'Cookies are a sometimes food,' but the skit ended with cookie monster saying 'sometimes is now!' and scarfing down teh cookies anyhow!
