Pedestals

I just met with Phyllis from Pedestals tonight...I really liked it, until the end of the meeting when I felt she got a little pushy. Let me ask you ladies, did they give you a written proposal (itemization of cost)? Every other florist I've seen has done this, but not them.

I met with Marcella at the Nassau location.
I actually asked for a copy of what she was writing.
Im not sure that she would have offered it to me otherwise.

Did anyone feel that they were pushy? I got the whole 'if you book with us tonight' speech and I was given the impression that the price I was quoted would change if i did not book within the next few days.

Met with and booked with Robert...gave us the itemized list

I actually asked them for a copy of my paper work and they gave it to me. I met with Rob and found him to be the most patient man I ever met with. Im sure if you call them they will give you anything you want.

i just booked with Pedestals last weekend. i met with Vito who was awesome. he had great ideas and a nice personality. we really clicked. he understood everything i was looking for. he gave me an itemized list of everything and took $400 off the price if i booked that day. so i did. it was a really good experience . while i was there he showed me lots of pics and was bringing out all kinds of real flowers to get an idea of my taste. he didnt rush me at all or push me to make a decision that day. he's not just a sales person he really knows what he's talking about when it comes to designing things. id go with pedestals.

Thanks ladies...I just called them. They said that they normally don't give out the itemization but that I can definitely pick it up, so I am going to do that tomorrow. I feel much better about it. Thanks for your replies!

Marcella wasnt pushy but I didnt boo on the spot either. I actually think it was Phyllis that called me right before the holiday to see if I was going to book with them and yes, she was a bit pushy on the phone. Did you actually sit with her? Were you happy with her?

Yes, I sat with her. She seemed nice, but like I said, a little pushy. I have to say that she gave me a decent price, but now I feel rushed to make a decision

I met with Nadia and she wrote out everything for us and she was not pushy at all....I'm sorry you had a bad experience maybe you should meet with someone else

We met with Marcella, and she gave us the price itemization without asking for it. And they offered us $$ off if we booked right then or by the new year since I booked them last January. But we waited a little to think it over, but it ended up they were the only florist we looked at and we got a call that they would make a sample CP if we wanted prior to booking so we saw our CP and that was it!! we loved them

Wow. I booked with marcella. She sent me home with a copy of their worksheet and agreed to do a sampe before I booked. I think I took a 3-4 before fully deciding b/c I met with other florists. She never came across as pushy.

No they did not give me an itemized proposal when i went on either occasion. The first time I went, I met with Marcella and I personally thought she was pushy and she wasn't listening to me with what I wanted either. Then I met with Phil, the owner, and he was fantastic. I really liked him and he wasn't pushy at all.

I think the lady i met with was Phyllis also. I also didn't get a written list AND felt really pressured into signing THAT day. She kept on saying how the price was only good for that one day. WTH??!!! It was the first florist FH and i went to! This is a big factor as to why i didn't book with them. It's a big chunk of money and i didn't want to be forced and pressured~!
