Penn is not closed, I work across the street and people are going in and out, see my other post. LIRR trains will be delayed, but it doesn't seem very serious. Just a pain in the ass.

thank goodness. you should have seen the people freaking at my office when she announced that!
Penn station IS closed! I work upstairs at MSG and just tried to go to Kmart and they are evacuating everyone....it is DEFINATELY closed!(I don't know for how long, but as of right now it is!)

The LIRR has suspended service-- not good. Last week my train caught on fire and now this-- I hate commuting.

They just had it on channel 2 news....the media scares the crap out of people!! they started with 'breaking news, Penn station is being evacuated...' Talk about causing panic!! People are already calling to see if I'm ok!!

One of the Chefs told me that not only the 1-2-3-9, but also the A-C-E are not stopping there either. He had to walk from 42nd.

The N-R-Q-F trains stop near Penn but I guess it doesn't matter if the LIRR is out of commission.

one of the guys i work with didnt believe me
he was like where did you hear this. i said my girls.
he said what, no your lying, your preventing me from getting to my destination
so i pulled up the thread, and clicked on Penn delay and showed him.
he said wow its a good thing you are on this all day
