I was just texting back and forth with a friend. During the conversation, the wedding came up. I jokingly said, 'I hope you have it marked on your calendar.' The following is the response I received:
'Yes I did. Though that IS my birthday weekend...'
Birthday weekend? Just for added insight, she's turning 37. Seriously? I was expecting a 'LOL' to follow (it didn't)

Re: People amaze me
LOL seems to me like she thinks shes doing you a favor. I would understand if she had some big party planed for her B-day.... Weddings are once in a lifetime things (hopefully), and she'll have a b-day next year.

Like she could have a bigger party than your wedding.

What really ...some people just think about themselves I'm sorry ...that really sucks ..your wedding is way more bigger then a bday

Re: People amaze me
I didn't even realize that my wedding is MY birthday weekend! Just goes to show you how important a b-day is... I honestly think that, after 21, birthdays become something you try to forget rather than celebrate

Re: People amaze me
I'm far from a Bridezilla. I don't think the world stops because I'm getting married. I just was taken aback by the fact that, especially at this age, she'd make a comment about it being her birthday weekend. If she doesn't want to come because she feels the need to celebrate all weekend (as though it's her 21st), that's ok. I just would've preferred a lie instead of this silly truth.
