People can be soo messed up!

ok so this Eparty has really been getting me very stressed!!!

The date to rsvp was last Thursday...Fh's cousin (who I work with) told me her son was coming...i finalized everything will the hall (they are giving me a problems also) and shes like oh hes not going to be able to make it! So I was like wellllll I paid for him already and I cant get a refund (I called the hall- they said NO) So I was like you have got to be kidding me...she didnt think it was a big deal at all!!!

Am I wrong to be annoyed at her being so nonchalant?

on one hand I am really excited about the party...but on the other the planning aspect of it is driving me crazy!

we were going to do an e-party, but i am really glad we decided against it. I knew it would turn into alot of planning craziness, i would rather put all that into the wedding and not the eparty and the wedding

I'm sorry that people are driving you nuts, this is suppose to be something fun for you

Thats just annoying...is there anyone else you can invite to make up for that one person so you won't lose your money? Or maybe a friend that wanted to bring a date? It would suck to lose the money!

i can certainly share in your eparty woes....i've already had 3 people rsvp and invite themselves with guests even though the invite didnt say with guest. these people are in their 30's and they should know that when an invite doesnt say + guest that it means no guest yet they are taking it upon themselves to include a guest!!

some people are just totally clueless and carefree....

the engagement party stress is nothing compared to the wedding stress....just try to enjoy this time before all the crazy planning starts...You and FH are supposed to be celebrating the beginning of your life together, not stressing over who is being a jerk and careless

(Plus even if you paid for this person and they dont come its ok...you will make it back from the gifts you recieve...thats another way to look at it...)

That's really annoying, but at least it prepeares you for what the wedding's gonna be like! Most likely people who said they would be there just won't show up and you'll be stuck with the bill But she could have at least 'Acted' like she was sorry, wow..

I would be pissed 2, Every little bit counts and now you have to pay for an empty seat. I think your right. If you know someone that would come with a last mintue invite maybe invite them. I guess for your wedding your better off asking him three times before paying for him! I think people are so nieve with somethings.

The best was today when I went into work...his mother was lke OH HES GOING TO BE THERE!!! I was like 'What'!!!! At this point I am just learning my lessons for the wedding...FH and I are enjoying our time now together...I just get stressed sometimes...I can imagine how rude people can be though!
