People getting married in the Catholic Church

I actually teach in a catholic school and that church is where we're getting married so I know the Priest well from school functions. However, it was a requirement for us to meet with him before taking the FOCCUS and doing pre-cana. If they're not returning your calls, do you have time to stop over there? That's annoying!

I stopped there 2 times already and both times they told me that my date was in the book and that I had to call the priests secretary to schedule a meeting. But I've left so many messages and the last time I called her voicemail box was full!

That's ridiculous. I would see if you have time one day to go in there when the secretary would typically be working, I would assume a 9-5, or call the rectory and say that you've left multiple messages for the secretary but she isn't returning your calls and you're starting to re-think having your wedding there because of the lack of communication. If this is happening already, what's going to happen when it gets closer and you have to pick out readings/music? I would hate to see you go through all that for what is supposed to be the more relaxing part of the wedding!!

Thank you!!! I'm so frustrated with it all and my parents say I'm being a bridezilla because I'm so annoyed - but this isn't normal. It's just really rude to not answer multiple messages from the same person.

My fiancé has off later this month so we might both go down together and say something.
