ETA: This girl I work with who is relatively new.... gives me a card...and calls up FH. (who works with us in a different office) and congratulates him..starts telling him about wedding stuff...HES LIKE WHAT THE HECK..
She comes over and is like I hope Im invited.

I have to say, it's one of the most annoying things ever especially @ work. People will be like 'I can't wait to go!' I know they are genuinely happy for us but at the same time, why would you invite yourself?

Grr I just typed a whole thing and it didn't save!
Anyway, my synopsis was that random old ppl who knew my grandma that I never met have flat out asked to be invited! I'll invite them, b/c they're old and I feel bad, but still!??!! Grr.
Also, a whole slew of work people are mad at me b/c I didnt invite them to my eparty - I didnt invite ANYONE from work tho! W t f ?

I get this all the time particularly from the extended family and marginal associates. If I haven't seen or talked to you in a year plus WHY would I invite you?!
I just got a TON of 'self inviters' this weekend when I was to Jamaica for my uncle's wedding. The Jamaican side of the family are all asking when the day is etc. Most of these people I don't even know their names, seen them in years etc. THATS why my uncle and his wife had to have the wedding there instead of NY (they were going to use CLM). Appoximately 150 people from Jamaica were invited b/c they couldn't envite Uncle So&So with out asking Aunt Whats-her-name and it just grew out of control.
What's worse is AT the wedding my Grandma is sitting there saying how it was terrible that someone was left out and he was sooo depressed!! WHAT!

How about someone else inviting other to your wedding (not even family).
I will try to make this as short as possile. I work with this guy and he asked our Japanese (yes he lives in Japan) rep if I invited him to my wedding would he come. The rep wrote the date in his planner. Needless to say I didn't invite the rep. I hope he doesn't buy a plane ticket.

ugghhhh that's ridiculous! someone i work with did that to me too- she was like i better be invited to your wedding or i'll be very hurt. i wanted to tell her off sooo badly! in my department alone there are 14 people- with dates thats 28 people! and this girl's not in my department! so if i go outside of my department, my nice intimate wedding is gonna be a three ring circus!
