ETA: This girl I work with who is relatively new.... gives me a card...and calls up FH. (who works with us in a different office) and congratulates him..starts telling him about wedding stuff...HES LIKE WHAT THE HECK..
She comes over and is like I hope Im invited.

so get this...i went to a party with my brother i had said to him before we walked in (because already that week i had 3 people from work invite themselves to my wedding) 'lets see how many people are going to invite themselves to my wedding'. My brother just laughed like i was crazy and at the end of the night 5 people invited themselves. They made comments like OOOh i cant wait to come....whats the date so i can write it down, stuff like that.

I saw this happen to a bride at a BBQ this past weekend. We ddin't know many people there, and I saw this girl saying, so we're invite, right??? so sad....

I have that. FH sister in law whom we don't really get along with too well, well her mother and sister want to come to out wedding. Don't know why. Met her mother once and we never met her sister.

I hate it when people do that!!!!!
This one couple did it to us - they got married a month before FH and I got engaged and we WERE NOT invited to their wedding but somehow they THINK they're invited to ours!

i got a few 'i'd love to come' responses when people heard, but a few of those i was actually really surprised and excited about so those people will be invited. I wouldnt have if they hadnt mentioned it just b/c i didnt think they'd WANT to come.
what i hate, is people who are totally single, and are not even SEEING anyone, have flat out told me that i have to let them bring a date. And they are FAMILY so it's not as if they won't know anyone there. I told them no way, unless they have a serious or steady boyfriend by then. She is offended, but what can ya do? If i let her bring a date, i have to let EVERY single cousin i have bring a date. That would add something like 50 people to our guest list.

Even if I'm not invited, I'm crashing.
I'll be wearing a chicken suit, btw.
