Grr I just typed a whole thing and it didn't save!
Anyway, my synopsis was that random old ppl who knew my grandma that I never met have flat out asked to be invited! I'll invite them, b/c they're old and I feel bad, but still!??!! Grr.
Also, a whole slew of work people are mad at me b/c I didnt invite them to my eparty - I didnt invite ANYONE from work tho! W t f ?
um, does this mean i'm not invited?
listen, now that i know your bathroom habits you're totally demoted to the 'B' list...
I'm totally offended... the 'B' list? thanks a lot...

That is rude!! People can't just assume. I would just respond with 'we havent finallized the gueat list and /or we are keeping it small'. Let the get their azz up in the air about it. I don't care!
My work people are all b-list b/c they are all in NJ and GA- doubt they are coming anyway.
AND what is up with people getting mad they arent invited to a wedding or an e-party. Do these people undrstand budget constraints.

Re: PEOPLE INVITING THEMSELVES TO YOUR WEDDING VENT
i got a few 'i'd love to come' responses when people heard, but a few of those i was actually really surprised and excited about so those people will be invited. I wouldnt have if they hadnt mentioned it just b/c i didnt think they'd WANT to come.
what i hate, is people who are totally single, and are not even SEEING anyone, have flat out told me that i have to let them bring a date. And they are FAMILY so it's not as if they won't know anyone there. I told them no way, unless they have a serious or steady boyfriend by then. She is offended, but what can ya do? If i let her bring a date, i have to let EVERY single cousin i have bring a date. That would add something like 50 people to our guest list.

Oh, that is the WORST!!! 'can I bring a date?' sure, why don't you try finding a boyfriend first, then we'll talk about it (i'm not as mean as this sounds, but it is a pet peeve of mine). Even when i was single, i was never offended when my invitation didn't say, 'and guest' I understand that things are expenisve and you can't afford for me to bring some random person to keep me company...

Re: PEOPLE INVITING THEMSELVES TO YOUR WEDDING VENT
I hate that!! This girl I worked with for maybe 5 days bumped into me in the street and mentioned how she saw my bulletin on my space (dont ask me why the hell I did a bulletin, I was just so excited!) and then says, 'Im invited right?' I gave a little giggle laugh but kind of went around the question but how do you answer someone who puts you on the spot like that?!!!

Re: PEOPLE INVITING THEMSELVES TO YOUR WEDDING VENT
not only is that bad but i had a girl who works 2-10 tell people she was in my wedding i work 6a-2p she is not even invited, i dont know why people do this, i know there is going to be some disappointed co-workers when there invites dont arrive. at first i felt guilty but not anymore.

That's a problem i'm having too. People I havent spoken to in a long time, all of a sudden popping up and talking about the wedding as if they are invited.
it's ridiculous.

Re: PEOPLE INVITING THEMSELVES TO YOUR WEDDING VENT
I have my FH's 15 and 16 year old niece and nephew asking if they can bring dates. I'm sorry, at that age, they can hang out with family...there is no good reason for them to be invited with dates. What do you ladies think? Am I being unreasonable?

Or how about when they are hinting around about being in your bridal party and you had no intentions on asking them?

Re: PEOPLE INVITING THEMSELVES TO YOUR WEDDING VENT
We get that from so many people! If a person really thinks they are coming to our wedding just because we 'know' them, they are nuts! Some people are so rude!

Re: PEOPLE INVITING THEMSELVES TO YOUR WEDDING VENT
if it makes you feel better, we had 3 people, relatives of our guests, whom we'd never SEEN before, ask them if they can attend, and these guests had the nerves to ask DH if their relatives can come.... all this because they 'wanted to see an indian wedding' i couldnt believe it!!!!!!!!!!! one of them we did say yes to, because they were really close to us, but that was just ridiculous!!!!!!
