PEOPLE S*CK SOMETIMES -O/T rant
I just have to share that I am so tired of unenthusiastic people. I have a good friend who just ****ed me off. I posted here yesterday that I will be able to stay hom and my job was actually paying me through the end of March (I was supposed to go back this week) My job was terrific about it but it was up in the air until yesterday as to how it would all work out.
Last night I emailed my friend at work, it was late and I was up with Luke and I figured she'd read it at work today. I would have called but she can't really get calls there. Anyway, I tell her the whole thing and here's her response: 'Hi. Yes, you informed me of all this ... that's great. I don't understand the paying and not being there, but I guess if it's kosher then good for you.' How unenthused can you be? The details changed so I hadn't 'informed her of all this'. I felt like telling her to f*&k off! I mean, this is my friend and that's her response. Other people have been happy for me - even you all here and we don't even really know each other. It just burns me up. Believe me, I don't think the world revolves around me and my life but this is supposedly my friend. So I did the 'mature' thing and responded in a very passive-aggressive way: 'Actually it worked out somewhat different than when we conversed but since it is good news, I was happy to share the final outcome. Thanks for being happy for me.' Why am I reduced to a child emotionally at times?!
I had to vent b/c I don't even know what to say - call her and ask her why she didn't sound excited for me in an email? Now that would be childish I think!
Thanks for letting me vent.
