Perhaps the real question is why was a three year old watching Alien vs. Predator?

Re: Perhaps...
That's awful, I guess that could have happened at any movie, but it drives me crazy when I see little kids at movies like Terminator 3 & the Excorsist ( when it was re-released)

Re: Perhaps...
absolutely...choking is a horrible, horrible thing...no doubt about it...and obviously the issue is not whether or not this child should have been viewing that movie...but still...i thought i'd point it out.

I was thinking it may have happened because he was scared & gasped or screamed or something, but little kids scream at all sort of things.

Re: Perhaps...
June, in answer to your two posts...The entire article was only a few paragraphs long...And in it the two things you just mentioned are clearly stated...

Re: Perhaps...
such a sad story.
I read in the paper today that the family had been homeless and were really just starting to get back on their feet.. both the Dad and Mom had both found work, and they were planning on moving shortly, etc.
just a shame

Re: Perhaps...
BMD - I think what June262004 meant was that the 'real question shouldn't be - Why was a 3 yr old watching Alien vs Preditor - but in turn should be focused on the tragedy.....I guess when I first read the article on CNN, the name of the movie or whether or not he should of been there - wasn't the first thing that jumped into my head.....
But thats JMO, it happened unfortunately.

I see...Maybe you're right about that...Either way, I didn't intend to paint any kind of negative picture of myself...But really...Why take a three year old to see that movie? Obviously, it's a seperate note entirely from the tragedy that unfortunately occured...

Re: Perhaps...
I have a friend whos 2 year old son Choked on a hot dog. The were able to get it up and then he gasped for air and swalloed it again and died. This happen in Disney world. And it really doesnt matter where it happen but it happen. Maybe the shouldnt have taken their child to Disney World.

Re: Perhaps...
Not for nothing, but I really don't care...The point of my post was not to be disrespectful to the dead kid or his family...The point was to try to get a conversation going about the fact that a three year old was seeing that movie...Obviously my point (as much as I tried to drive it home) was missed...
