Personal question!

Is anyone waiting for their wedding night to be 'de-flowered'. FH told me he thinks there are a lot of girls who still do this. I don't know any.....

What if I answered that this time is when it really counts?

Yes, when FH and I talk numbers, I tell him, he's the only one that counts.... so 1!

Re: Personal question!

I know one. A friend from college and her bf (been together now for 6 years) are waiting till their wedding night (so that will be 7 years!). Honestly I don't know how they waited that long (but each will be the first for the other - so that might make it easier)

Re: Personal question!

does it count if my fh is the only guy I've ever slept with?

yes, this is true...so even though I am already de-flowered...he did the deed anyway...we've been together since I am 19.

no, if anyone is wondering...I don't feel deprived or like I've missed something in any way! LOL

Re: Personal question!

There are still virgins out there? I thought it was extinct....J/K!!!!!!!!!

One of my BM's is 22, she's still a virgin, and she's finding it a lot more difficult to find men who 'accept' this...

Wow...still in shock over here, that there are still people out there that are 'saving it.' Don't y'all watch SATC? Remember, Charlotte's problem????

I know it's TV and all...but I'm sure there's truth to it no?

I've ended relationships b/c of the 'bad sack' let alone a MARRIAGE?

Re: Personal question!

Previously, I had ended many a relationship over the fact that I wanted to wait until I was sure of 'the one'. I'm proud to say that I waited long enough (wow - that was long ...25) to find my prince charming. So why I've already been de-flowered, I'll always be able to say that it was by my (future) husband! I'm so happy with my decision!

Re: Personal question!

We're living together, so that is a big fat resounding no.

However I give credit to those who have waited this long, my FH waited a very long time before he got deflowered, but not by choice!!!

And I'm the same as Christine, there are times I have dumped people because of sexual incompatibility!!!

Re: Personal question!

For what it is worth, I do commend the ladies who made a conscious decision to wait for their wedding night. I, for one, am not one of them.

This might ruffle some LIW feathers but, I think once you have experienced intimacy, you are more inclined to have the desire to experience it again from the sheer 'pleasure' aspect rather than curiosity. In other words, you cant miss what you never had.

I don't think I could be my age (35)and be a virgin without losing my sanity or some semblance of reason. Once I hit 30, my hormones kicked into overdrive - plain and simple. I also don't think it is a moral dilemma in most of our cases. I think it is an individual choice.

The numbers of partners before your FH/DH/FW/DW are also irrelevant as long as you are faithful to the one you accept and give yourself to for the rest of your life. FH and I NEVER discussed numbers. Though I think that he is under the impression that his number is high than mine - I don't think so

Old Goldi has spoken. I really am an old f*rt arent I.

(Just as an aside, I met FH at a fraternity party in college years ago when I was pi$$ drunk and despite my altered state, I was able to say 'no' to the act. Essentially, I made him wait 15 and a half years when we met up again. So I DO exercise restraint. Yeah ok)
