petal cone

Can someone please help me with this. I want to make petal cones for my church, but I am confused with the kind of paper to get. Someone told me to get regular paper, then use modge podge (no clue what that even is) to wipe on the paper to harden it. This seems kind of ridiculous, any help/suggestions????

An easier way is to just use regular doilies & then put a round label monogram on them & add a ribbon. Here's the ones I made (w/o ribbon attached). VERY easy.

Shoot, I don't have them in front of me, I'm thinking 5 inches. Did you do a search on here, there were a number of posts on this

I cut out 8x8 scrapbooking paper. Then I folded them, punching a whole where the two flaps meet. I secured it with a ribbon going around. There are so many scrapbook papers to select. When Micheal's has a good sale you can get them 10 for $1.00

i got the michaels scrap paper when it was on sale... cut them down to 6x6... printed our monogram on one corner, rounded one edge then put them together with double sided tape...
