Are those used when you don't have a flower girl? And where do you put them on the pews instead of bows?

Re: Petal cones
The petal cones are for the tossing after the ceremony. I would make as many as you think you will need and place them in a basket. When you go to drop everything off at the church or where ever you're having your ceremony; they will put the basket of rose petals by the door for people to take on there way out. Hope I answered your question correctly.

I used doilies and scrap booking paper to make mine. Cardstock may be too heavy-I would test it first.

I would use cardstock. You could even get two or three different types and make them unique. Be crafty! Good Luck!

Re: Petal cones
I would say enough for about 50% of your guests-especially the ones seated on the aisle and at the end of aisle to concentrate your the petals in areas that will likely be captured on film.

cardstock might be too thick to roll and hold if you were just using tape to keep them together... we used scrapbook paper then cut it down...
