PHEW! Booked our photographer....

After lots of number crunching, research, bickering and everything attendant to big decisions, we have decided to go with VIP. I was wary going in based on the fact that you girls said he makes the pink envelope comment - but he didn't! We were very comfortable with him...he was so laid back and not aggressive or pushy at all...and frankly, his work was really beautiful and most importantly, reasonable. Can any other VIP brides forum mail me with their epxeriences? I feel really good about it and I feel like a HUGE load has been lifted.....

I am using John for my March wedding, so havent had much experience with him yet except for when we booked him and a few phone convo's.
But I am confident. Also he never mentioned the pink envelopes to me either.

What office did you go to?

We went to his home office in Port Jeff. It was a cute neighborhood. We were just really comfortable overall with the whole shebang. Nice guy.

That's great to have one more thing off your list. We are working on photography next and VIP is on our list. If you don't mind could you forum mail an estimate of what you are getting and how much your are paying (ballpark figure is fine!) Thanks!

I will say it again and again...John was AWESOME!!

I was so happy with my proofs...and his attitude the day of the wedding...

I never heard about the pink envelop until that last thread...maybe it was a misunderstanding...no pink envelope...actually one of the girls here asked him about tipping...and he said he doesn't want a tip for himself, but he would except one for his asst (2nd camera)

my sister used him 2 weeks ago...so when I can...I'll try to post some of her shots as well...

Another happy VIP bride here. I just got my thank yous out and everyone loves the all the pictures (though everyone is exhausted after looking through all those proofs!).

You will be very happy--having the second photographer is a real plus!

Hey Jessica - Another March Bride cool ! hopefully those 2 weekends will be nice, I dont really care about temp as much as rain or snow. and VIP studios too, we have lots in common. I will have to try to get on LIWeddings before I head off to my honeymoon to give you any tips or insites on john and VIP! I will try.

Hope we all turn out with amazing pics, Did anyone else get the Diamond Package?

I love the Diamond album but it is not in the budget for the complete package, so I am talking to him about just getting our wedding album in the collage style and the parents albums just regular...
