Photo Booth

Photo Booth

I wanted to originally do a photo booth, but now I am unsure. I was told by some that the guests spent the entire time on line to take photos instead of out and dancing on the floor with the bride and groom. I want everyone to be out and dancing and not just taking pictures at the photo booth, but it seemed like such a fun idea. Does anyone have any experience with one at their wedding? And some prices??

I think it is around 1k, but sometimes you see groupons for them so keep your eyes peeled...also, she used them as a favor, and the company made extras of all strips and people would put htem in a scrapbook and sign a message.....you can get special frames too as an extra little gift.

You wont have a huge line. They are there from 3-4 hrs. I went to a wedding that had one and they actually started it during cocktail hr into the reception. You can find some great deals on their websites, FB pages and Groupon. Regular prices range from 900 and up. They make great favors. Keep an eye out for Groupon. Sign up for LI and NYC deals. Good luck!

I think I've been to 4 or 5 weddings with them and it really works out OK. If there is a line, people either go back to dancing or hang/chat with people. The dance floor was never empty even with the photobooth! HTH. Good Luck :) They are so fun!

Our friends had a photobooth and it was so much fun that we had to book one at our wedding in August. It did NOT affect the people on the dance floor. We are using it as entertainment, favors and our sign in book. We got a deal for $850 that included all the above. Definitely worth it!!!

Re: Photo Booth

We had a photobooth at our wedding and it was a HUGE hit! It was in one of the corners of the ballroom so it didn't interfere with people lining up onto the dance floor and everyone loved it! We all went in multiple times, people would go in and out, dancing in between and so many people commented on how it was such a great way to remember the night and grab candid, fun pictures at the wedding!

We used Party Booths and it was around $900. We got a disc with ALL of the photos so we could print extra copies of our favorites afterwards. I would definitely recommend having one.

And don't worry - it will not take away from the dancing! I got nothing but rave reviews.... HTH

Here's one pic where you can see the booth in the back (don't mind my ridiculous GM):

And here's one of our photobooth pics:

Re: Photo Booth

I've been to a wedding with a photo booth, and there were at most 4 or 5 people on line at a time. Most people would wait until the line got short and then hop on.

I wouldn't worry about that.

I booked one through Facebooth using a groupon.
