Photobooth - Cocktail Hour only?

Photobooth - Cocktail Hour only?

My FH and I were toying around with the idea of a photobooth but didn't really want it in the reception, as some weddings we've been to - the line for the photobooth takes away from the wedding itself. We want people to have fun but we also don't want the photobooth to be a huge point of attraction...

Anyway, we were suggested in trying a photobooth for Cocktail Hour only - anyone ever seen that?
I tried welovephotobooths.com but since my wedding is during a busy month, they have a minimum of 4 hours...

Just curious if anyone has any ideas or if we should probably just toss the whole idea.

Thanks.

I that's what I wanted previously for the same reasons but could only find a groupon for 2 hrs but it expired before our wedding. Then FH said he doesn't dance so he would like it longer......but for cost purposes I'm still on the hunt for another 2 hr package!! That package was only $250! Cheapest 4 hr package I've seen ids $600 which isn't bad at all but I could really really use $400 elsewhere. I'll keep u in mind if I see anything rose!! Press keep me posted too!!

Thank you so much! Yea, I'm so bummed!!! Especially since my wedding is a day - yes, Labor Day weekend - but they'd still be able to book a night wedding that weekend.

Annoying. LOL

Thank you!

Photobooth - Cocktail Hour only?

I just attended my friend wedding and she had a photo booth and it didn't take away from the reception at all since we had 4 hrs to use it.. I feel if you do it in a cocktail hour your guests won't be able to enjoy the cocktail hr b/ there will be a long line since they only have an he..think of the photo booth like a getting a drink at the bar it's just another thing to do ..I spent like 5 min at the photobooth

I've been to weddings where the photobooth was great, didn't take away from the party at all.. and weddings where there was a huge line and I never even got a chance to use it. I think it depends on the amount of people you are having also. The more people at the wedding, the longer the line will be for the photo booth. Also, the more young people. Not too many older folks use it.

I've been to a number of weddings now with photo booths. I never felt it took away from the wedding itself, especially if it's in the same room. If you put it in the cocktail hour, it's going to really take away from the cocktail hour since at the reception there's more time to use it. Just my two cents

I disagree a little lol I have been to weddings with photo booths and I did feel like it took away a little. People were lining up rather then dancing.

THIS is our fear...and, yes, I've been to some where it didn't take away but we didn't want to take any chances.

Ehhh...we'll see.

We're trying to stick to a 'NEED' and 'WANT' list. I think the photobooth will just have to fall under 'WANT' at this point and we'll revisit down the road.

Thanks, ladies!!!
