Photocube idea- need opinions

So I went to Michael's today to pick up frames. I was looking for 8x10 wood frames that I was planning on painting silver (as it is my secondary color), and probably buying navy satin fabric for the top. (main colors of wedding are navy and white)

Well...get this- I found navy blue frames!!!

So should I....
keep the frames blue and use silver as the top fabric?

OR....

Paint the frames silver
and use navy fabric on the top?

I'm wondering if the silver is just more wedding-y....but it just seems too perfect that the frames are already blue!

hmmmm both would probably be very nice...but the silver frames and the navy blue on top sounds really pretty!

Now I'm thinking...navy frames, white top....I mean hello, my main colors are navy and white!

For the table number frames, we're painting the frames silver.

Just trying to picture it and IMO I think I would go with the blue frames, if you're using mats for the frames maybe make those white. HTH
I can't wait to see how everything comes together

Keep the blue frames! It would probably take forever to cover all the blue with silver paint, and they still fit your decor!

I don't think it would take too long- already have the silver spray paint- we're gonna paint the dowels for the pennants silver and I'll be painting the table number frames siver as well.

Hmmmm I'm so bad at this stuff! I really won't know what I like better until I see the finished product!

I wonder if I'm going navy-overboard here though!

Dresses navy....invites navy....navy & white pennants....placecards/table numbers have plenty of navy in 'em....navy pinstriped cake...

Tara, now that I've seen the frames, I vote for 100% LEAVE THEM BLUE!!! I really like them!!! I was wondering what type of blue it was, but I really like it!!!

And I WAS wondering why you were doing silver instead of white top

So I vote, blue frames, white top. I definitely don't think it's navy overload!!! I mean, all my stuff is chocolate brown, so I hope it's not overload! Seriously, I've painted frames silver before and even have some up in my living room. I like them a lot. And I'm STILL voting to keep them blue. I really think it will look great!

Oh boy now you got me thinking- should I still pain the table number frames silver? (they come in natural wood so i was gonna paint them silver...didn't even really consider blue)

maybe you could find pinstripe fabric for the top, instead of the silver or white fabric.

Hmm for the letters.... I think either would be nice! Although..... you could always do them in blue and leave the sides/insets/etc in white. That way they're not quite pinstripe, but they still have that blue and white look! Maybe?

no you're not! I'm usually the same way, having trouble visualizing things, but now that I've seen some of my ideas come to life, its getting a bit easier to see things in my head.

I completely agree with our BOTW!!! Leave them blue and do the top w/ white fabric.....I am the same way with being indecisive without seeing a finished product, but somehow its much easier for me to make decisions for other people!! and those are a GREAT find for $3!!!

I dont think you can wrong either way..but consider this...if it will be dark the frames may look black
