photog

So I just called a photog that a friend referred me to, and she had our date available =)

I am really looking for someone to just literally take the pics & give me the rights & proofs & cd, I'm pretty creative so I want to do my own albums and stuff.. She quoted $1600 for her & an asst... Is this a good price?!?

I think that sounds great. Although I will say Twelfth Night has an amazingly similar package for 1850 and there work is wonderful!
Incase you want to shop around..

Would she consider additing in a free ephoto session with you so you can see how you work together?

The price is decent but 0 albums is kinda a bummer. We paid a few hundred dollars more than that and got an ephotos session, ephotos album, and 1 wedding album in addition to all photos on DVDs / CDs (high and low resolution and all rights to duplicate).

If you are looking for someone to just take pics, I would recommend Lighthouse Photography Studios. The price for 10 hours is $795.

It is a good deal but there are a lot of things you might want to consider before booking...do you like her style of photography? Have you seen examples of her work? How does her work compare to other photographers' work? How do you work together (you will be working tog for a long time on your wedding day!)- like the other girls said, does the price include a free e-pic session? Even if you are going to make your own albums, you still want to pick your photog very carefully....they are in charge of your memories and many girls think the photog is the most important vendor
