Photographer $$ question

Photographer $$ question

Ok so I have a question. I’m trying to get an idea on pricing for photographers and so I’m asking IN GENERAL how would you classify photographers you’ve met with. You know like they do on the knot? $ or $$ or $$$ or $$$$. I can’t even come up with numbers for those categories because I’m honestly clueless. I’m aware that there is going to be a lot of variance depending on what you want in your package but I'm just trying to get a rough idea. TIA ladies

Ok, well, I found that depending on where you are getting married, their prices are different. And people will claim this isn't true, but having a sister who is planning her wedding at the same time and friends planning, too, I have experienced this. That being said, I will tell you my experiences......
I have met with a few of the more popular photographers on here(fm me if you want to know who), and their prices and packages were awful, in the range of 5000-8000 dollars and included maybe 200-300 proofs and small albums.
Then, I realized I did not like the style of traditional wedding photography, so JT and I went out on a limb and checked out a freelance photojournalist. Her work was AMAZING and her price was 2500 for 1000+ proofs, no extra money for black and white or sepia, she stays from the second my starts until it ends, etc. So we booked her. She does all the traditional shots that we would get with a regular photographer, plus she is an extremely talented photojournalist who shoots for magazines and newspapers and what not. So that was my experience. I did not meet one wedding photographer worth giving my money too. Ok, that's my rant, sorry so long! Hope it helped.

the best thing to do, is go see some photographers. the price range can be huge, and if you call them and ask, they say all the packages are different, blah, blah, blah. just keep an open mind and don't sign anything if you are not ready to book them.
