Has anyone booked or know of anyone that has used any of the following photographers?
Spellman in Deer Park, Creative Compositions in Oyster Bay or Duval in Wantagh
These are the ones I'm considering, but would like feedback. Which photographers are better (more personable, contemporary, willing to take suggestions) packages you would recommend? Maybe there's something I should order that I'm not familiar with? Is it better do do all film photography? Is digital good? Is B&W more money than color?
If there's another photographer that you would recommend, PLEASE tell me.
Photography is the most important thing I will be paying for.
Thanks SO much.

Re: Photographer Recommendations
if you have the budget, i would definitely recommend looking into willi wong or lina jang. they are on the pricier side, but their work is amazing!!!!
Heard good things about Spelman and Creative Compositions, but I haven't heard much about Duval so i can't really comment on them.

Re: Photographer Recommendations
One of my best friends got married over 2 years ago and just received her final pictures. That is a long time to wait. She had such a problem with them. I went to them cause they actually did my parents wedding 25 years ago. I found them to be too pricey and was not what I was looking for. Hope this helps

i used bart stevens in east northport - he is fantastic to work with can do both photojournalistic and traditional photos - i thought photography was the most important thing by far too - and let me tell you after the day rushed by i totally know i was right - the photos and video are the only things we have to hold on to talk to mr stevens too - you wont be sorry
We're using Spellman, and I can tell you they are extremely personable, will take suggestions, and are great custpmer service-wise.

When we was looking for a photographer we met with Duval and did not have a good experience with them. We used Chuck Marcy from Chuck Marcy Photography

Hey - I'm getting married at Land's End too I'm using Artisan - you should check them out. When I booked Chuck he had just done a Land's End wedding the weekend before and his photos came out beautifully - he even caught a rainbow
I also really liked Verdi's work - and Spellman has some beautiful work too. Good luck

I love my photographer: www.michaelcody.com. His style is photojournalistic and he does a combo of B&W and color.

We checked out Duval and thought their work was beautiful! I know alot of brides who used them and were very happy.

I'm using Imagine Studios and I LOVE them! Lia is the photographer and her husband, Nelson, do the videography. Photography is very important to me as well, they're work is incredible and they are so nice to work with!Good luck!
Thanks so much. I looked at the site and have put them down as one of my possibilities.

Thanks for the recommendation. If you'd like to e-mail about suggestions for Land's End and maybe you can offer suggestions after you get married on the food, likes and dislikes etc.
Feel free to e-mail me separate so we don't clog up the board.
We went to see Creative Compositions and we LOVED their work - it was amazing. They do incredible photojournalistic work. The person we met with, Sheri, was very nice and extremely thorough. She spent two hours with us and really took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for in our wedding photography.
What ultimately made us choose not to go with them was price - they were easily the most expensive studio we looked at. If they were a little bit more reasonable, we would have jumped at the chance to work with them. If you've got the budget, you should definitely go see them!
If you're looking for a studio that is a little bit lower in price, you might look into Franklin Square Photographers. That's who we booked with. Their photos are fantastic, and their prices are a bit more reasonable than CC. Here's their website: FS Photo
Best of luck to you!

i used creative compositions for my 6/11 wedding --i don't know of a sheri there --are you sure you aren't thinking of brett mathews --i think sheri owns that photography studio.
