Photographer/Videographer.. decision making.

So I narrowed it down and I'm pretty sure I'm going with my #1 choice. All of the vendors that I've been to are around the same price point. I'm going for one that is giving us 1 album, a handful of prints, and editing ALL of the pictures. I won't regret skipping the $500 parent album will I?

We were gonna skip the parent albums and do them ourselves.. When that was brought up in front of our parents they were like oh.. Really? So we ended up with them lol that's our gift to them now

I really can't push myself to spend $1000 on two sets of parent albums. I'd rather put the money towards a honeymoon. But I think I will make my own, or find something online to gift to them. I think I'm pretty much ahead of the game I've booked the venue, church, band and photographer/videographer so far!

That's what we plan to do. There are so many websites that allow you to make really nice albums.

Same! They're $500 each and we got attitude when we said we didn't want to spend the money on them haha but now they're going to be a gift.

thats exactly what I'm doing. Ill probably take a picture of FH and I holding a sign that says that we got them the album and put it in a frame so they can open something at the rehearsal dinner

You definitely don't have to do the parent albums. We're gifting them to both sets of parents as part of the gift, but from our photographer they're relatively cheap (what we were planning on spending on the parents). If they were $500 each I'd definitely just make them myself.

Dont forget parent albums are always something you can add on later and even after the wedding if you find you dont like the way DIY is coming out!

I just made them myself on Shutterfly and the finished product was AMAZING. It took so much time but I love making them.. They are our mothers day gifts to our moms. I also gave my dad his already and it was a huge hit.

Yeah I was thinking of doing my album myself or after the wedding once we have some extra cash going back to the photographer. We shall see!
