Photographer--who's your favorite

Ive been staring at different photography website all week! Who are you using and what made you choose them?
I have several appointments in the next week or two to check out the places in person. I like more of the artsy like photos. I am on a budget but willing to splurge a lil on the photos....

if I had a choice I would have looked into lighthouse! I saw one 2013 brides pics from the thatched cottage and they were amazing!!!
I went the route of all incusive so I only got to choose from ADA or Duval. We went Duval bc we had a better experience with them.
Kinda had a terrible experience with ADA we were so upset. HOWEVER I know others that had a great experience with them! I think our experience was bad bc they are new to the all inclusive package at my venue.

We chose Lighthouse, and LOVE them!! Florio, the owner and our main photographer, is AMAZING and amazingly talented. He can do a ton of different styles, based on what you like. I loved the fact that he told me to send him examples of photos I like, and that way he could get the sense of what I wanted. He's also learning the editing side of the videography, which I think says a ton about his passion. He told FH and me that he wants to learn every part of his business so that when he's too old to be shooting weddings, he can still take part in the back end part of it.

Our second favorite, and my second choice, was Thomas Paul. Tom is extremely sweet and talented. He helped explain to my mom that brides now don't want typical 'old' looking poses, they want fun poses and cool filters and more artsy photos, so he gets bonus points. We didn't choose him bc while his photos were incredible, his video was not the cinematic video we wanted and I didn't want to have to use two separate vendors for the photo/video if I didn't have to.

Angel Project!! You say you like artsy, then def check them out. TJ is amazing at photjournalistic/artsy. His packages can get quite up there in price, but he works with every budget and we were able to get him for 10 hours at a price we could afford.

Park Avenue... We made an instant connection with Brian and he wasn't pushy at all. Kept running into him at different expos and he remembered us

we went out of the studio box and chose laura pennace of pennace photography. she's out of brooklyn. she's amazing in so many ways - google her and you'll pull up her website and blog.

jay lim! i spent a couple weeks looking at different photographers portfolios and jaylims were my favorite and had such a fast email response time and great pricing for what you get

Pete Gebhardt from InfocusNYC. His album packages are a little pricey but photos were the most important thing to us and we loved that he works out of his own studio.
