Hey Ladies...the next thing on my list is finding a photographer. So far I have been shocked by what they are charging. I would love to hear quotes from you so that I can see an average price to make sure that I am not getting screwed. We of course are going to look at several and compare but there are just so many to weed through. Thanks...

Re: Photographers
I just got back from booking Artisan! Check out their website, Chuck's photos are awesome Artisan Photography
We booked Chuck because of his photos, but also because he has a great personality (he is super easy to talk to and makes you feel really at ease). Plus his prices were much better than some of the other photographers we looked into (he isn't cheap but you get ALOT for your money)!

Re: Photographers
We aren't using a LIW vendor. I went to about 6 photographers and talked to about 5 more (I'm an OOT bride). We are using Studio 307 (Joseph Mancuso Photography) and he and his wife (the lighting assistant) are fantastic!! They use traditional film, but his pictures are amazing.
His packages are huge and really inclusive for around 2k. (Some are less and some are more)
I found that photographers range between 4K-6K+. But, I'm sure there are some good ones who are less expensive.

Wow That is a lot of money! Weddings seem to really be a big business in NYC. We really can't spend more than $2000 and even that is more than we expected. I guess this is just another eye opening experience for a small town girl.
Thanks for the suggestions...we will check them out.

Hey you guys are using Chuck the day after us! When I called he was booked the 7th and the 9th(you!), so I am so glad I was able to book him before he booked my date!

Not yet - Chuck recommended we do them soon though before the days start getting shorter. Did you get yours yet? We will probably wait a bit though cause FH chipped his tooth at hockey and I would rather wait till he got that fixed (hehe)

Re: Photographers
WE are using Velvet Studios in HUntington Station. There are packages for 2K-5K Unfortuately I fell in love with the most expensive package however it includes 2 photographers and a videographer. You get an AMAZING coffee table book and keep all negatives plus other stuff (which is a plus!)

Re: Photographers
I also recommend checking out Twelfth Night . Many people here recommended them and we ended up booking them this week.
