Photographers... Velvet Studios or other recommendations please! Updated

I went to check out Velvet the other day. Liked a lot of work, some was so/so (but really loved bob and his wife). Dont know how to judge. If you've had any experience with them, please let me know!... or if you can recommend another photo/video company that would also be great!

Edit- im starting to get very concerned about photography because i just attended a wedding (which i was in) where the photographer took great shots, but was a complete jerk. He thought he was 'funny' but was annoying ALL day. I dont want that!! I really want someone who takes good shots but it very - NOT IN MY FACE about it.

I highly recommend my photographer Christos Hountas of Photography by Christos ... I loved all of the engagement session photos he took and can't wait to see the photos he takes at our wedding! Aside from his work, I LOVE his customer service!!!

He only does photography, so we went with Bellarino for our videographer. Phil & Kate are great to work with!

My friends used Velvet and loved them.. I was eehh about their photos.. however they were traditional and I am not a big fan.. I love love love contemporary.

A friend of mine had one of THOSE people as her photographer as well....

You can COUNT on 12th Night!!!!!!! After the 'posed' pictures with our families, etc...we didn't even realize they were there!

Check out Michael Rosengard (North Island Photography). He is really laid back- not in your face at all!!! - and takes beautiful pics-really captures the emotions on people's faces and those great 'moments.'
