photographer/videographer?

I posted this on the 07 board but I'll give it a go here too. I'm going to start looking at some places next week. I'm going to check out North Island photography, Imagine studios, Patken, Spellman, and maybe more. But before I go how much are you all spending so I don't freak out when they go through the prices!

I am using seperate people for video and photos. I am paying $3550 for 2 photographers, FULL day coverage (like 10 hours), unlimited shots, digital coffee table book, plus the other goodies like a few blown ups, a couple of photo touches, and a parent album. My video is $1200 for full day with minimal editing, 1 camera, and chapters, 7 minute highlight, 3 DVD's and thats about it. FM if you need any info. Have fun, good luck!

I'm going to use twelfth night for both. I have done lots of research on this subject and I found them to be reasonably priced, several different packages, and beautiful photography. Not one person has said a negative thing about them. Hope this helps!

I used Peter Jacobsen (out of Manhattan). He was great! He did photo and video for 5K. I got all my proofs and negatives, an album and an edited DVD that was truly my favorite item. My family and I just loved it. It was edited really well and captured the funny moments as well as the emotional moments. His style is both classic and photojournalistic and we were looking for someone who would do both as we wanted family portraitst to give to our parents but we preferred photojournalistic pics for us. Oh, his partner and assistant spoke Spanish and that was really key for us because so many of my side of the family does not speak a word of English. www.pjphoto.net.

I just booked Imagine Studios last night. They are not the cheapest but they are not the most expensive. Their pictures are amazing. The two of them work great together. I have seen other friend's albums (by Imagine) and I was impressed. It was important for me to work with a smaller company because of the personal attention they give. Go with your gut! Good Luck!

We spent just under $5000 which was for both my photograher and videographer. We used Proline Studios and loved them. A friend of mine used Spellman and her picutres came out great but the one thing I didn't like was that they printed Spellman on the front of the proofs so it was hard to put it into a fram if you watned to. Proline doesn't mark the pictures.

Hi. I just went to see GEORGE SPIERS of RIGHT ANGLE STUDIOS last night and I have to say - this man does AMAZING WORK!!! He offers both photography and video and he's willing to work within your budget (although he has 4 packages to choose from).

THE BEST THING ABOUT HIM is that he stayed on the phone with me for 30 minutes when I first called his office. He asked me all the details about what I wanted on my wedding day and explained (at length), everything he offers and then some. For both services, your pacakge can run anywhere between $3,000 - $5,000, although it can be less. You also have him for your ENTIRE DAY so you're not limited to 8 hours (God forbid you go over and have to pay extra). I saw three of his videos and each had their own 'UMPH' factor to them. I prefer wedding videos that look more like documentaries and his videos were just amazing. He also adds touching music to accent those moments in your wedding that are most special to you. Sorry for the long post, I just love it when I find affordable professional vendors and I just had to share with group. :)

Best of luck.

L.

I hope this helps

Re: photographer/videographer?

I booked Duet for photo and video for $5000.00 and we have everything we want. E-pics, 11x14's 75 image digital book, 5x7's to give to the bridal party, 2 parent album's, all of the thank you cards. I am sure some other stuff just can't remember right now.

We went to a bunch of places. Some were really high and some were moderate. They all give different things. We made a list of what we wanted in our package then we went to some more places and Duet gave us the best price and they do great work.

I totally agree with this statement. Once we met George we knew he would do our wedding. His talent and professionalism are outstanding.
