My final meeting is this Monday and I just wanted a little help from you guys.. Any must-take photo ideas and other things that I should have typed out and ready to go? I'm not sure if I should give a detailed list of everything I want taken and stuff like that, or if I should keep it simple and just let them do their job. I get worried that if I am too specific that it will prevent them from doing what they do best!
thoughts/advice are much appreciated!

I have a must have photo list. I had them for our engagement shoot also and they came out great. The photographer did a good combo of my must haves and his must haves. I then requested him for the wedding because he wasn't annoyed with me telling him the pics, he said he liked the way I was thinking. I''m by no means a photographer, I'm just obsessed with pinterest and liked things from there!

In addition to must-take photos (you want to make sure you get all of the combinations you want), I'm also going to give a list of DO NOT TAKE photos, like the groomsmen lifting me up or everybody jumping in the air. I can't stand those kinds of pics and I'm not letting it happen for my pictures!

A 2013 bride did a sparkler picture with her husband, maid of honor and best man and they spelled out 'Love' - it's one of my favorite pictures I've seen!

You can never be too specific! :) When my cousin got married, she assumed her photographer was a mind reader and left everything up to him. She was pretty disappointed to not get the photos she wanted.
I made a must have list a while back, in addition to printing out some pics from pintrest and organizing them all in a binder. I'm a bit of a control freak so for some of my 'must must haves' I attached a pic with it in case it needed spelling out. I think i'll also do the 'do not take' list as well lol

We printed out a few of our favorite picture ideas from pinterest but half way through the wedding we asked them to just take random shots of everyone having fun.
The pictures honestly get SO overwhelming and I didn't want to look back on my wedding and only remember being at 20 minutes of my reception because I had to keep leaving for photo sessions. The family pictures are standard, but I would ask them for a few favorites and then let them take it from there
