i really love the photojournalistic photos that a second photographer takes but FH and I aren't sure we can afford the second photographer. i can't get just the photojournalistic photographer because I think my mom would have a fit if we didn't take family pictures (and I do want those pictures too, I just think the other ones are more interesting and pretty). so, are you ladies having the second photographer? do you think it's worth the money?
also, we're having a somewhat small wedding (about 110-120 people). do you think it will be weird with two photographers and not a ton of guests?

b/c mine is only 1, he's photojournalistic, and he said he will do family shots too.

1) no it will not be weird, a lot of girls have 2 photographers with that size if not smaller weddings 2) I recommend twelfth night, they are fair priced and do both regular and photojournalistic photography, fm if you want more details

I'm meeting with a photog on Sat at 4 pm, he is photojournalistic but says he can take traditional pics too and mix it up, so I'm wondering if that second photog is really needed?.... Your photog won't take some traditional too?

thanks! we do already have a photographer (we haven't actually signed the contract but have an appointment to) he said he would try to get some of the more photojournalistic shots but since he's only one person he might miss some shots. so i'm not sure what to do!

My company ADA had a package that gave us 2 photogs. You might want to price out a few places for this rather than signing with one person first

We booked Duet and they come with 2 photographers...I think they are both photojournalists but take family portraits too.

www.wpja.com has a list of wedding photojournalists with a ton of different price ranges....most can do the 'Traditional' shots but u just have to ask/tell them.
u dont necessarily need 2 to get the photojournalistic and traditional pics...but if that's def something u want there are a lot of options out there that are affordable and outstanding

if you really want the second photographer think about cutting some things out.
FH and i are not getting parent albuims (i will make them online) that saves 700-1000 dollars. If you do this, you could afford the 2nd photgrapher
You could also consider making your own album online. that too would save you A LOT of money!!

not wierd at all!! These days they are VERY non intrusive..especially the pj..thats his job so that no one knows hes there.
I wasnt sure if it was in our budget but FH insisted, i think in the end, its one of those things you will definitely be happy with spending the extra $ on....Pictures are forever:

DITTO!!!!!!!!!! We decided to save $ by not ordering Thank you cards and parent albums...check out snapfish.com You can do it on there for so much cheaper and the quality is the same..
When we met with Duet, they even said that they no longer offer thank you cards because everyone these days is doing it through snapfish, so why bother... They gave us the idea!

mine's doing family shots and photojournalistic shots...we're also adding on a second photographer just to get more pictures...total is $2400 for both...if you want more details let me know!!
