Would anyone be willing to share with me their experience on prices for photographers/ what is included in that price?? FH and I are on such a tight budget, I'm almost thinking of going with a package deal, like Complete Wedding Packages in East Meadow. For photo, video, DJ, limo (drop off and shuttle service) and photo booth, it just seems like its going to all add up SO quick and its so stressful and overwhelming!!

I will FM you quotes. I was on a budget too of $3K.
I'd say for a general photo/video package you're looking around $3,500 (which to me was even more than I could afford). That usually includes one photographer, one videographer, albums, and getting ready photos through the reception. Maybe some additional prints. That's just an average from what I saw and it all depends on what you want.
We went with Fade to Black because we were very tight with our budget (weren't even going to do photos originally, only video) and he was willing to customize his packages to fit in what we could afford and what we were looking for. We actually ended up being able to afford photo/video/photobooth with them. Definitely check him out if you go the separate vendor route.
Also, I like the separate vendor route because you can pick exactly who you want. It does definitely add up, but if you do an all-in-one you're locked into specific companies and honestly sometimes you can get better deals on your own. If you shop around enough you can usually bargain you're way with the vendors you really like.
Definitely this. We also booked with Fade to Black and couldn't be happier. I was weary of some of the all-inclusive packages at certain venues because you may not necessarily get the quality you're looking for with certain vendors. I definitely prefer to keep all of my options open and you can always get a great deal with individual vendors. Good luck!

I paid much less for the photo/video package... My take is to look around. Everyone has different styles. You have to see what style is best for you.

I'm using Prestige Wedding Center for my photos, videos and DJ. They threw in the limo for 3 hours on the day of, two airport rides (for going to and coming back from the honeymoon), and invitations. Our photo package includes SOOOO much!! When you meet with them, you look at several photo albums, wedding videos, etc. The deal they gave us was crazy so we definitely went with them. I booked with Nick, you can tell him Daisy and Dwayne sent you :)

Photography can get VERY expensive. Definitely shop around!! You can always find a hot new up & coming photographer. We used Gina Esposito but her prices have increased since we booked.

Wow, the few quotes I've received are practically double that!?!
I have 10 hours including a Pre-shoot, 1 Videographer, 2 Cameramen?, 1 Photobook and then some random sized prints.
I'm on a tight budget, but I do want 'artistic' prints. This is one of the areas I'd like to spend a littleeee extra for quality. Any suggestions?

Check out Thomas Paul. He has extremely reasonable prices, and does beautiful work!! I didn't book with him ONLY because we found someone else who had a better videography option and (to be completely honest) I just didn't want to deal with two different companies for photo and video.

My package includes 2 parent albums, 100 pictures in our album, engagement pictures that are used to make a guestbook, 12 brag books, A big vinyl picture for the wall, a picture canvas people can sign during the reception. I think without the dj and videographer, it would have definitely been within your budget.
Good luck :)
