I sympathise with your photography budget plight, BUT:
Don't go the CT or PA route.
I'm from CT, and actually spent the first week of my engagement fighting with my mother every night because she had heard that Long Island Weddings were too expensive and was insisting that I ONLY consider CT, my hometown, Danbury specifically.
However, as I did my covert research, I found that prices down here are a LOT better than CT. In fact, the Videographer who did my Bat Mitzvah offered us his regular package deal with Photographer and said he wouldn't charge us for travel, and it's still WAY over my $3000 photography/videography budget.
My mom and I have since stopped fighting, and my reception costs are going to be nearly 50% less than they would have been in CT.
