I know this has been asked a thousand times, but I am gonna ask again.
I am getting worried b/c I have not booked anything but the reception yet.
FH and I are on a budget, please recommend a photo/video person that can work witha 5k budget. I want soemone creative that will take a lot of candid images in addition to the traditional pics.

we're using Konrad Kolen. We went to soooo many places & found him to be the best. His work looks great, prices are low and he just seems like a nice honest guy. We're only paying around $1,500 but we got the small package all day coverage (with an assistant) all pictures on a high res. disc all proofs back 1 big fancy leather album a few other enlarged prints ( I think 3 or 4) his website is Kolenweddings.com

Video Express Productions in East Meadow... they were great! we were very pleased with the final result. Our package was less than 5K and that included FULL video coverage as well!

I would reccomend Twelfth Night. They are amazing and their prices are SUPER reasonable.
Definetly check them out. Dom (the main photog and I think, owner) is a great guy. I took my e-pics with them recently, they are in my album if you'd like to check them out. Also there is alot about Twelfth Night on the review board.

Try Duet. We are off Peak so we got our for 5K but I bet they have packages to suit any budget and they are awsome!

I am also using 12th night for Photo & they recommend Mittermax for Video. Travis from Mittermax is good friends with & used to work with Dom from 12th Night. Between the both of them I am paying uder $5000 for 2 photographers & 1 videographer. I believe they are actually going to make it a little more official anf offer combination photo/video packages for 2008. Call them up for details!

You should give Right Angle Studios a call. They are vendor on here. George the owner is amazing & will work with you.
definatly give daniel s. krieger a call he is in mount sinai he did my sisters wedding and her pics were absolutly georgous and sooo reasonable he is a vendor on this site call him!!

Did you try Golden Moments for video? They were in the $1000 ballpark. Our video is beautiful and Pat was amazing to work with. They also offer photography now which looks beautiful...not sure of the price. We used 12th Night for photo and they were very reasonable, too.

You have to contact Thomas Paul. You can definetly get a package for under $5,000 w/ video and his work is soooo amazing, and he's a pretty cool guy.
I actually lost an $800 deposit w/ another photo co. b/c I fell in love w/ Thomas Pauls work.
