Hi-we went to 12th night and we loved them because they do both traditional and photojournalist (sp) style pictures...however me and FI are nervous about setting up the albums afterwards...does anyone have any recommendations on other photographers that do both...we may not have a video so we need a photographer that will capture the whole day both traditionally and candid...any suggestions????

Re: Photojournalist Photographers
I think with most photographers now you can add a photojournalist for an additional fee. I know you definetly can with Proline Studios in Huntington and Jeffrey Studios in Nesconset. Duet gives you two photographers with their package, I believe one of each. Those are the ones I know of.
If you are interested in the fees for Jefferey or Proline let me know, I have them in my room :)

Re: Photojournalist Photographers
We did 2 albums, one traditional and one black & white. The B&W has both photojournalistic style as well as traditional poses, so it is the bigger album.

Re: Photojournalist Photographers
We are having both- we are using Silverfox. They are in Mineola. There is a separate fee for both. The prices may be changing now from what I've hear but we are paying $1100 for the traditional & $900 for the photojournalist.
They do all sorts of albums.

Re: Photojournalist Photographers
That was the one and only reason why we didnt go with 12th night. As much as I loved Dominic's work, I know myself well enough to know Im lazy and I wouldnt be able to make my own album. I went to plenty of photographers and I would recommend Silverfox, Verdi and Duet. They all have an extra photographer included or with an additional fee. Good luck and let us know the outcome.

Re: Photojournalist Photographers
Check out Lina Jang. She will customize any of her packages and she does everything in digital format so she can manipulate any photo. She has great artisitic impression along with her photo journalist approach.
After meeting with her and reviewing her portfolio, we feel in love with her and never looked at anyone else.
Good luck!

Re: Photojournalist Photographers
I second Mark Kauffman I used him and was very pleased I looked all over the island and many places say that they do photojournalism but many don't quite get it.
Also do a search a few girls have posted their proofs.
Here is a link to some of my proofs if you want to see - it is only a sampling since I got way too many to possibly post them all. There is also a link in my review for a couple more that I didn't post. - but I only scanned in about 1/4 of all the proofs I got.
Celebration Studios does both and they don't charge extra for it.
