photojournalistic photography

Just a comment on it - so many photographers these days are claiming to use the 'photojournalistic approach' but aren't really doing that. I have seen people's work where they think that because they put it in black and white and it's not 'posed' that they can pass it off as photojournalistic. I had to laugh at some pics I saw at one of the studios of a bride getting ready at home - in the pic is the hairdresser in her sweat and messy ponytail doing the bride's hair and other pics in the church that were obviously shot from behind the bridemaids (supposed to be like you were standing in the crowd I guess) but in the foreground of the pic are the backs of their necks taking up the bottom 1/3 of the photo. Be sure to look at their work really well since they do charge so much more for this style/addition to your package. True photojournalism pics are really great, I love them myself, but do scrutinize their work - it will pay off in the end.

Thanks in advance and Congratulations again!!!!!!!!!

photojournalistic photography

Elizabeth is right. Photojournalism is very trendy right now. Most photographers are offering it because so many brides have heard of it and think they want it. Many photographers are just offering black and white candids as photojournalistic and the lay person is accepting it. If you do want to see true photojournalistic coverage and think you may want it at your wedding, I would strongly suggest you look into Sherwood Triart Studios. They have been doing photojournalistic for a long time now. They were doing it long before it was the 'newest' thing. They are located in Hicksville and NYC for appointments. They also have a great website to look into. Sorry, but I don't remember the URL right now, but a search engine should bring them up pretty easily. Happy photography hunting ladies.

Hi there: I used bubbles and a girlfriend of mine did too. They look beautiful in the pictures when you walk out of the church and they are blowing in front of you. My guests were blowing them before we got out, but my girlfriends are beautiful. Actually, the pictures at the church of 'people blowing the bubbles' are great.
My suggestion would be to listen to some Broadway muscials cd's. They have some great songs that you do not usually hear everyday.

photojournalistic photography

I had to share my positive experience with planning my wedding..it was in finding the right photographer. I invested so much time in researching Long Island photographers and found so many of them to be, frankly speaking, 'cheezy'. I even trekked into Manhattan and loved the photojournalistic styles some photographers were offering, but in no way could I ever afford their prices. Then I saw an ad for Mark Kauffman photography and the picture in the ad represented the style that I was looking for. So I went to his studio in Port Jefferson, looked through his prior work and knew he was the one...As it turned out I made the right choice, my husband and I are about to celebrate out first anniversary and we are so grateful to have such wonderful pictures that captured the spirit of that day in such an artistic and romantic (even funny)way! Mark's # is 516-473-7752. Check him out and I think you will be as satisfied as I was.(I figured I should share with you guys a positive experience, because we all know that in the 'wedding business' some dealings with are not always that pleasant!)Any questions for me please feel free to email me at [email protected]
Good Luck!!!Sheila
