PHOTOJOURNALISTS SEARCH!

Hello!

My fiance and I are literally losing our minds trying to find a photojournalist on LI with reasonable prices. I am willing to dish out the money..him not so much!

We met with TJ from angel project who I LOVED and came extremely recommended. His reviews are fabulous. His current package with us is at 6k for photography, video, albums, proofs...

I want to book him but feel impulsive if I am really not looking around too much in other places.

Does anyone else know of/ is using a studio who specializes in photojournalism with video?

Any help would be much appreciated :)

I feel ya!!!! I am having such a hard time with costs!! my hall we are splurging on slightly....however, we now need to be on a major budget for everything else. We aren't doing a videographer... so far i have found a photographer for the bare minimum for $2000 thats for 1 photographer, 1 assistant, 1 album, and the proofs on a dvd... i don't believe they have a photojournalism feel however, they are reasonable..

Capture the moment-
they specialize more in video its worth a try!!!! if its too much id cut out videography. my future brother and sister in law got married last night and had a videographer.(never been to a wedding before with a videographer) it was nice for the ceremony however, i will say for the reception it was annoying, and i'm not the only guest that felt that way many people feel that videographers are a pain in the you know what filming you all the time!!! but again- its personal preference.

for me, i want my ceremony filmed so i'm having my fiance's uncle use my video camera as we walk down the isle....

In all honesty, your package is great..especially if you love the photographer. I agree with the person above, Thomas Paul does some amazing stuff. We hired Gina Esposito (I wish I had a dollar for every time I said that on this site), while she is pricey, if you opt to have a photographer for a smaller amount of hours, she might fit into your budget :)

I second this! I'm using him and just got my epics back and couldn't be happier! He will definitely work with you on pricing. If you're not into this style, I found Fade to Black willing to work with pricing also.
