Ok so if FH agrees....he is being a PITA right now saying 1. i could help plan with you like the invites and stuff YAH RIGHT he will stuff the envelopes thats about it
2. well lets not rush (UM hello...I WANNA GET MARRIED!! haha no but honestly i dont see why we should wait we will def have the $$ saved up by then and he will have 3 months to relax once home from Japan and no parents complaining that we moved in together before we were married-ok well only 3 months before )
ok..so anyway here are the dates i picked and why 1. Sept 27 2008(Sat) I will be attending hofstra for my masters and they for some odd reason have off from school Sept 29-Oct 1st (means I can go on my honeymoon right away and not worry about missing a week of school)
2. October 4th 2008 (Sat) Hofstra again has off from Oct 8-9 and for the same reason i will most likely not be missing any days of school for my honeymoon!!!!!
Now I dont know which one i would rather have because i want the weather to be nice- and i am also not into doing a Fall theme....
YAH!!!
help me convience FH- i will tell him to look on here tonight to get great advice from you girls

Re: Picked 2 dates...
well, my FH always quotes Chandler from FRIENDS when it comes to the wedding...'my job is the cameras' And I don't even think we are doing cameras He likes to hear about everything I'm planning and gives verbal input, but besides where we are having it, and maybe wanting to eat all the test food....he wants to just 'show up' All that stuff you can do vial mail, email, and phone when hes over seas

Re: Picked 2 dates...
the dates are just one week apart! I think the weather will be pretty similar for either date.....And you don't necessarily have to do a fall theme if your wedding is in the fall!

Re: Picked 2 dates...
September 27.....u'd be my date twin, but I know there are one or two more of us....so that is what I would chose. But it is up to you.....i think the weather will be nice with either date.
When you check out the halls you can see which date you can get a better deal and then decide that way too, if your don't really prefer one date over the other................

Re: Picked 2 dates...
thanks girls!!! Yah i am not sure how much the weather will change...but i might go with Sept 27th since we have more days off from school...
but I still have to convience FH. What i think he wants to do is go look at halls in the beginning of June and def book before the end of the month. But he wants to check out dates for 08 and definitely check out our right now wedding date May 09 and see the difference in pricing and whats the best for us....
I think he wanted more of a spring wedding but he did say he would want either spring or fall no summer or winter...
i guess we will see....

I agree! when i started looking i was looking earlier in april but when the price was the same i choose a later date! one thing you can use to convince him is that if you start booking now you can get the vendors at these prices, they could be higher in a year

The weather is absolutely beautiful in late sept. and early october. You don't have to do a fall theme just because it's october or late sept. I would keep both dates in mind and book based on availability.
Good Luck!

Peak months are generally april to october but it depends on the hall. Sept. and Oct. were peak for my hall But I loved the hall, I love the season, and it was within my budget. Definately shop around you'd be surprised what you'd find.

Re: Picked 2 dates...
i like both dates, if oct. is cheaper then def. take that. september has a romantic sound to it too....whatever you choose will be good. 10-4-08 or 9-27-08 hmm...the second one looks prettier on paper i guess, lol, but then again if the both of you will be off then oct. is better.....sorry im not much help!
