Hi Ladies! So I can't stop thinking about WHEN I am supposed to plan my wedding. I already feel like I want everything to SLOW down because this is the happiest time in my life but am unsure if I should be booking our wedding for 2015 or 2016. We want a Fall wedding (October) but are open to other dates depending on price, etc. I feel like 2016 is SO far away.... and yet 2015 (October) is WAY too close! How do you find the compromise!??!?!
I got engaged in June and I am getting married in September 2016. I really wanted a September wedding and I knew where I wanted to have it that they had no availability for next year. Plus we really wanted to save as much as we can and save up for a house as well. I also didn't want to be rushed to get everything done in time for next year.
Do an estimated cost list. If your budget can do it in 2015 then do it, if not wait. Oct is a prime month so everything will be at its highest price.
i would definitely recommend the long engagement. we will be engaged almost 3 years when we get married next year. its nice having the time to enjoy and plan your wedding without stressing out abd you also have the time to really try and get the most for your money .
We are having about a 16 month engagement and time is flying!!!! But I feel like no matter the length of your engagement it's such an exciting time that it will fly! Do what you need to do!
