I did not cry and I don't think I even got butterflies or anything like some girls describe. I tried on a buch of dresses, but I kept going back to this one particular one. Try this, close your eyes and picture walking down the aisle or picture dancing at your reception. What do you see yourself wearing? Hope this helps. Goos Luck

me too! i didn't cry or anything - and i cry for EVERYTHING! i knew it was the one bc i realized that it was a dress that i had wanted to try on from a picture, and then i picked it out AGAIN without even realizing it was the same dress ( they look so different in person).

everyone has a different experience and i feel bad sometimes for girls who are waiting for 'THAT' feeling. . . in the end it is just a dress, and not everyone reacts the same way! Doesn't mean it isn't THE dress

I'm in the same position as you. I'm trying to decide between 2 but I like both of them equally. I think I'm going to take all my bm's to the bridal store that has both dresses and take a tally vote on which dress I should choose because I can see myself getting married in either of them.

i didn't cry or anything. I just kept thinking about the dress over and over again.

Also this is a good note: my mother for once didn't open her mouth on anything regarding the dresses. I thought she was being cold but then she told me as soon as i picked the dress that she didn't want to say anything because she wanted me to like the dress and not everyone liking the dress.

I would ignore all imput regarding your dress and go with what you love and like. If you have time I would wait to really make sure its the one. I have about two more months till i really have to make up my mind but i am pretty happy with the dress i am getting.

Re: picking the dress

i just ordered my dress this past week and let me tell you, it wasn't a dress i expected myself to try on let alone purchase. i was expecting to fall in love with the dress i was eventually going to buy, but that never happened. one of the ladies helping me told me something very true...YOU make the dress, the dress doesn't make you. a dress should complement you, not take away from the beauty within. you're a beautiful woman, you don't need an outrageous dress to show that. you'll naturally glow on your wedding day. if it helps, try your dresses on with a veil if you plan on wearing one. and if you're planning on wearing an updo, make sure you put your hair up in a bun to better envision what you would look like. believe it or not, it helps. i too was stuck between mermaid style dresses and a-lines. a-lines are just a lot more comfortable and less restricting. i knew i wanted to be comfortable on my wedding day. i want to be able to dance and move around without having to look stiff. good luck!
