Picking your BM dress colors & picking your flower colors

Do you have to know the color of your BM dress BEFORE picking your florist?

I'd like to secure a florist however i don't know what I'm going to do w/ flower b/c I haven't picked a color scheme yet.

Also, how fast do florists book up? HOw many wedding can they do a day?

Just wondering if I have more time to play with or I should have this booked ALREADY.

No I dont think you need to know. It helps to have an idea b/c maybe you will love a certain flower but it only comes in colors x,y, and z.

But whenever you pick your colors you can always go back and tell them and change things around.

Florists book far in advance but most do TUNS of weddings in a single weekend.. esp the bigger ones like flowers by brain, pedistals, and flowers by burtons.

I think it depends on when you get married. If it a busy wedding month then I would say look around. I went to my florist 4-5 months before my wedding. The owner told me to come back in a few months then we can pick out my flowers/colors. (mind you I didn't need to get centerpieces so it might be different )

i dont think u need to know the colors before you pick the florist...u dont go over the final arrangements until a few months before the wedding anyways.then u can bring a swatch, etc!

i picked my florist before my BM dresses. But you should have some sort of idea what you are looking for (ie type of arraingement, type of flowers, how big you want the CP)..Some flowers are more expensive than others..

i picked my florist already and still haven't decided on a color for my BM.. i just told the florist that it could be blues but it might not be. and she had no problem with it. i'd say most florists would work with you on that.
