I am trying to do a search but no villa lmobardi cakes came up. And too many villa lombardi threads come up. I would just like to see what people had.

They had one in the book that the banquet manager showed us that I absolutely loved! Wish I had a picture of it for myself!

I believe they do their own cakes, since they have the Market, where they make their own pastries and cakes . . .

How are you supposed to know what fillings to use if you do not get a tasting??? I am little annoyed that you do not get a more extensive tasting with them.

Did you go to any of their showcases? I tasted both the choco & vanilla cake with different fillings..They had a huge spread of food to taste too..

I just booked recenlty and I did go to the tasting in April......we got there a little late and were still working on apps when they were bringing out cake and by the time we went up it was gone already! I am a vanilla girl so do remember if you liked it or what fillings they used in it? Thanks!

In the Vanilla cake they had cannoli cream, and Raspberry..It was very yummy. I was more preferential to the chocolate cake..
It had raspberr and white chocolate mousse..OH yeah, the cake was very moist and tasty!!

I know this is hindsight, but my mom and FMIL tracked down the maitre de at the tasting and demanded the chocolate cake..they told them oops they forgot to put it out, they said well go get some...Villa brought them their own plates before the rest came out..how funny..

We went and never even saw them bring out cake, only cleaning it up. So no, we didn't get to try it. I guess we'll have to guess what's good.

I am going to feel sorry for any of my vendors who tick them off..Such things as Momzilla's?
