Re: Picture locations help

The only thing is our wedding is an afternoon wedding so our ceremony starts at 12 at russos and the reception follows so wherever we go has to be kinda early which might be tough. I want to choose a place for pics now so I can base the hotel I stay at the night before the wedding on that. I will def check out garden city and floral park. I would love to do them at old westbury but they dont open until 10 am and charge some pretty hefty fees as I heard.

My church is in Howard Beach and my reception is Jericho Terrace. I had originally wanted to go to Old Westbury Gardens for pics but now I don't think we'll have time to so I'm also trying to think of other options that are around HB or Nassau. One idea I had was to go to Rockaway Beach. I know that it's not the nicest beach in the world lol, but I'm sure you can get some nice beach shots, and plus, it's really close. I'm going to talk to my photographer and see what he thinks. Does anyone think this is a good idea or heard of anyone who went there for pics?

My aunt took pictures in Fort Tilden, and thats where I plan to take pictures as well. It's pretty close to Howard Beach (about 30 minutes, TOPS), and is a lot more secluded/nicer than regular Rockaway. Since you're October, it might be fine to take them on the public beach, but because my wedding is in July, I didn't want sunbathers in my pictures! The other nice thing about Fort Tilden is that it has dunes/grass, which will give you more backgrounds to play with.
